Depending on your setup, you could have an unsecured wifi with MAC-address filtering, then tunnel to a secure, cabled server and do your stuff over the 2200bb. It could use some updating.

The cheapest solution for those is an Airport Express in bridge mode. My Toshiba had every driver except the wireless card. To be fair, he wrote a small, simple OS from scratch and a lot of people helped extend it into something useful.

I have the same card and I installed the driver suggested by Dinesh. But i find out now that the links to them are dead because of how long ago they were posted.

Not sure about other vendors, but anyone keen on Wireless MAC spoofing would probably just pick a generic chipset that did allow it.
